SJEFATE NURSING HOME AND REHABILITATION

SJEFATE Nursing Home is a home caring for older people and recovering patients who require nursing care. We provide an excellent level of care in a friendly atmosphere and can offer both long term residential care and short term respite care.

All our residents have their care needs assessed prior to admission in order to develop a regularly reviewed care plan. We treat all of our residents as individuals and cater for their needs accordingly whilst preserving their privacy and dignity.

Located at plot 16A martry's way NTINDA, Nakawa Division , as the mother house, we also have other houses in different parts of Kampala Uganda, that is to say; Bukoto, Kisaasi, Gayaza among others. SJEFATE Nursing Home is in quiet and relaxing locations, outside of the town centre close to the capital city. Ntinda is a large retirement town and is ideally suited for older people requiring nursing care.

PHILOSOPHY OF CARE

SJEFATE Nursing Home is an example of a more progressive, open minded approach to residential care. Our residents are respected as individuals and we do our best to cater for their every need. We recognise that the necessity of moving into a nursing home and requiring help with personal tasks can feel like a loss of independence. We therefore do our best to ensure that this transition takes place with as little stress as possible.

SJEFATE STAFF

We value our fully trained and friendly staff as our greatest asset, which is why we have excellent staff retention levels ensuring continuity of care for our residents, which enable special relationships to be formed between carers and residents. We provide 24 hour nurse coverage with additional trained nurse cover during the day. SJEFATE Nursing Home has also developed good support relationships with GPs and social workers in the local area.
Our SJEFATE team of dedicated and experienced nurses and care assistants who work under the direction of our Administrator. They have been chosen for their caring skills and are thoughtful, calm compassionate, loving and kind. Their expertise and experience enable us, with rare exceptions, to continue to care for the people who come here, no matter what the future may hold for them.

We are dedicated and loving, we are there when you need us. It can be different…let us show you how.

Unlike traditional home care services, private duty nurses provide one-on-one medical care. They are qualified to offer this care in the comfort of the patient's own home, or in a facility such as a hospital or nursing home. Private duty nurses are Registered Nurses (RNs) or Enrolled Nurses (ENs). In Uganda and East Africa. They can offer advanced care, working in tandem with the family. Our goal is to provide the customized care needed by our clients, all from one source.

PATIENT CARE ATTENDANTS IN UGANDA

PATIENT CARE ATTENDANTS IN UGANDA

Bedside Patient care attendants help patients who are unable to take care of themselves or perform regular daily routines. This can include taking care of the elderly, disabled, chronically ill, or otherwise impaired. We Train all our social workers for this occupation and voluntary certification is available. Personal care attendants have to meet health requirements and pass a criminal background check. A diploma or certificate in social works and social Administration is needed and a medical background to begin a career as a personal care attendant at Bedside Nursing and Caretaking services department of Saint Jennifer Foundation Aiding the Elderly(SJEFATE)

At Bedside Nursing we have different types of patient care attendants, including Nursing Assistants, Nurse's aides, Home Health Aides, Geriatric Aides, and Hospital Attendants. Some work in medical facilities, while others travel to patients' homes. Patient care attendants may work on a part-time or full-time basis depending on the needs of their clients. Day shifts, Weekends and evening shifts are typical and sometimes full time 24/7(depending on the personal needs of our patients)

A Bedside Nursing patient care attendant helps patients with basic grooming and dressing needs, administers medication, and, when working in a patient's home in any part of Ugandan and East Africa, often attends to basic housekeeping duties which the patient cannot get to. Throughout these routine tasks, a patient care attendant keeps the patient company, keeping an eye out for any changes in the patient's physical, emotional, or mental condition. The patient care attendant communicates the status of the patient, including any changes, periodically, to a supervisor(main help line at our office), Medical case manager, or Bedside nurse on the Emergency duty.

Our Bedside Patient Attendants are very compassionate, responsible, and comfortable working with people with various health issues and disabilities.
Some of our pioneer staff have worked in Nursing homes in Europe, USA, and Asian countries so we have experienced to do this work Globally.
Do you have your loved one at home or in hospitals all around East Africa, regardless of any kind of diagnosis, trust us to attend to your loved for we become one Family with out Patient that is why we have a Slogan;

“my patient is my heart”
